In-between Marks

A collaboration between Gabriella Rhodes and Katrina Wilde, In-between Marks blends drawing, experimentation and live music into a part-guided workshop. Using the intuitive and spontaneous process of marking making, participants create a series of loose sketches and drawings that focus on process rather than a final outcome. Small prompts and exercises are provided to the backdrop of live sounds to help guide participants’ movements.

The workshops wouldn’t be whole without live music and they’ve had the fortune of working with two talented musicians, Leo Robinson & Tim Monaghan.

Gabriella & Katrina have done two iterations of In-between Marks; the first at Katrina’s exhibition ‘Spaces’ at EN Gallery (Stoke-on-Trent), and the second at Gabriella’s exhibition ‘Clay in Residence’ at AIR Gallery (Manchester).
